The Studio's Year End Recital —
Thank You, Staff and Dancers!

Great dancing, well-deserved awards and touching good-byes made the 2007 - 2008 Year End Recital a truly memorable event.

The Year End Recital took place on Sunday, June 8, at the De La Salle High School, in Ottawa.

“We were very proud of the performances of our Recreational and Company dancers at the Recital this year,” says Studio Director Janice Crowe. “All deserve high praise for the dedication they showed during the two terms of dance classes, as well as for the enthusiasm and technical skill they showed on stage.”

Special Awards

Following the annual tradition, Janice celebrated the year’s work with special awards.

Most Improved Award winners were:

Katherine Fouzie, Most Improved Recreational
Shaina Murray, Most Improved Jr. Company
Ann Cameron, Most Improved Sr. Company

Recreational Dancer of the Year Award winners were:

Nadia Versolato, Dancer of the Year Recreational (Jazz)
Sydney Saikali, Dancer of the Year Recreational (Tap)
Tanya Sesiakik, Dancer of the Year Recreational (Hip Hop)
Stella Klose, Dancer of the Year Recreational (Ballet)

Company Dancer of the Year Award winners were:

Jessica Taylor, Dancer of the Year Company (Jazz)
Sarah Ross, Dancer of the Year Company (Tap)
Mary McLatchy, Dancer of the Year Company (Hip Hop)
Amy Neal, Dancer of the Year Company (Ballet)

Scholarship winners were:

Jillian Bouchier, Intensive Scholarship
Tiana Alberelli, Candace Kelly/Lee Scholarship

The Studio’s 2008 Graduating Class

Each year, the Year End Recital is an occasion of touching moments when Janice and Studio Assistant Director Jennifer Vorobej bid Graduating Dancers good luck with their future endeavours.
